Pintura

 

La primera vez que me siento, en el suelo, delante de un lienzo considero que tengo que "infectarlo" con lo que me rodea de un modo casi primitivo. Cualquier material me vale (ruidos de fondo, conversaciones, música lejana, la calle). Lo dejo respirar, el tiempo que necesite. Vuelvo, lo contemplo con nuevos ojos y es, ahora, cuando aparece por fin la imagen.

Para mí es el mejor momento. A partir de ahora entro en un terrritorio irreal, a caballo  entre la alegría de los mundos de yupy  y a la vez  inquitante y cenagoso como las profundidades del mar....

 

Me gusta dejar el cuadro abierto,sin soluciones, que se vea cómo lucha por definirse a sí mismo.

Dejar patente la dualidad entre lo figurativo y  lo abstracto.

Me obsesionan los personajes reales, me fascinan, para sumergirlos después en el teatro del lienzo y guardarlos en "formol", si es que puedo....

 

Painting

 

The first time I sit on the floor in front of a canvas I feel I have to infect it with the world that surrounds me in an almost primitive way. Everything serves ( background noises and music, conversations, the street life). I let it breathe,no matter for how long. Then I come back, I look at it with new eyes and it is then when the image finally appears. That is the best moment for me.From then on I enter an subreal world, half-way between a happy naivety and a more disturbing and dark reality like the deep, blue sea...

 

I like to leave the painting open, without final solutions,so that you can see how it is fighting to define itself. I want to express the duality between figurative and abstract art.

I am obsessed with real characters. They fascinate me! I like to take them into the canvas theatre and preserve them in formaldehyde if I can...
